Chicken Burrito Recipe Healthy
It is a great alternative way to enjoy a healthy delicious and satisfying meal as well as maintain a balanced diet. Along with healthy ingredients like onion, garlic, red pepper, olive oil, and beans, this recipe uses lean chicken breast as the main protein source, keeping health in mind. Whole wheat tortillas are used here instead of traditional flour tortillas, as they are high in calories and nutritious. This recipe uses spices like cumin and chili powder for flavor without adding extra fat or calories. Topping options, such as salsa, avocado, and shredded cheese, can be added for flavor, but are optional (it’s totally up to you). The recipe is very easy to make, and in 20-25 minutes you can make it and serve it to everyone and you can enjoy it.


Healthy Chicken Burrito
Ingredients
- 1 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into small chunks
- 1/2 pic onion, diced
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 pic red bell pepper, diced
- 4 pic cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cups beans, rinsed well and drained
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1/2 tbsp ground cumin
- 8 whole wheat tortillas
- Shredded cheese, salsa, and avocado, for topping (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a large or medium skillet over low to medium heat.
Add chicken and cook well until browned, about 6 minutes.
Add onions, red chilies, and garlic, and cook well for an additional 5-6 minutes.
Stir well with the beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the masala is cooked.
Heat tortillas well in the microwave or skillet.
To assemble the burritos, place a few spoonfuls of the chicken mixture in the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded cheese, avocado, and salsa, if desired.
Fold the sides of the tortilla tightly and roll tightly to form a burrito.
